We are delighted you found Points of Light’s Community for Employee Civic Engagement – we call it CECE. It’s the newest chapter in our mission to help you engage employees in their communities.
Today’s employees are more committed to giving back than ever before — from where they choose to work and shop to how they use their time and social media, voices, and votes. At the same time, today’s businesses are called to re-frame their definitions of success, putting the power of their brands to work to solve challenges in their communities and globally.
In the midst of this transformation are people just like you, looking for answers and ideas to help employees connect to causes and help companies maximize the impact of their actions inside the company and for the community. Whether you are the only person at your company focused on this work or part of a team of 100, CECE offers you a place to find answers and connect with peers.
Points of Light’s hand-selected experts will post ideas and respond to your questions. These are the people we rely on for thoughtful and practice-based answers. Their research and resources represent real solutions from people with hands-on experience. The articles we post represent the best new thinking for the sector.
It’s your ideas that will make this community grow. We hope you will ask questions, post ideas that have worked for you — even share ideas on what doesn’t work. We are all here to learn from each other!
Whether you have five employees or 500,000, when each of us is successful in helping employees give to their communities, problems get solved and communities thrive. That’s a bottom line that works for everyone.
We are deeply grateful for the support of the AT&T Foundation for helping us bring this online community to life.
So, I invite you to jump in! Look for answers, ask questions, post your best ideas, and share with us your thoughts on how to make this community flourish.
Together, we are taking action that really does change the world.
Yours in service,
Chief Civic Innovation Officer, Points of Light
