“If I were given one hour to save the planet, I would spend 59 minutes defining the problem and one minute resolving it.” Albert Einstein
Join the Congressional Hunger Center as a partner organization to launch our “End Hunger in 30” Challenge on April 1, 2020.
“End Hunger in 30” is a month-long learning challenge for your students, volunteers, donors, employees – anyone who cares about ending hunger – to help them deepen their understanding of U.S. food insecurity, its root causes, the role that public policy plays in fighting hunger, and how they can become effective advocates for its eradication.
By taking the “End Hunger in 30” challenge, individuals commit to spend 20-30 minutes a day for 30 days in April progressing through an online course based on our prestigious Emerson National Hunger Fellowship curriculum. Once participants sign up, they receive a daily email prompting them to go to our online platform, Zero Hunger Academy, to complete their daily learning. Participants can also follow the challenge on social media including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter with #EndHungerIn30.
The “End Hunger in 30” Challenge provides your organization with a turnkey opportunity to engage donors, volunteers, employees, and students so that they can be more informed and effective in their efforts to end hunger. It’s an opportunity to show volunteers that acts of charity must be paired with advocacy asks, to give college students the tools to create change in their college communities, and to help donors understand the root causes that drive food insecurity and keep it a persistent problem in every state, city, and congressional district.
As a campaign partner, we’ll feature your organization’s name and logo on the campaign page, provide you with a communications toolkit to help promote the challenge, and track and report back to you on your organization’s participation in the challenge
